IFNTUOG presents its lifelong-learning experience in Romania

Part of Activity 1.10 · Popularization of technical education

On 3-4 September 2026, the international conference "Adult Education and Learning" took place in Baia Mare, Romania. Representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG) took part as part of the ROUA00183 "Academic Technology Education Across Borders (ATEd)" project.

IFNTUOG was represented by Lesia Shkitsa, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics; Volodymyr Bohoslavets, Director of the Institute of Oil and Gas Engineering; Professors Vitalii Panchuk and Oleh Onysko from the Department of Computerized Mechanical Engineering; and Yuliia Medvid, Assistant Professor of the same department.

During the conference, the delegation presented approaches to developing a university-based adult education system and the continuing professional development of specialists in the mechanical engineering sector - particularly through practical training, digital technologies, modern industrial equipment, and cooperation between universities and businesses.

Participation in the event was an important opportunity to exchange experience with Romanian and European partners, discuss modern models of lifelong learning, and develop new areas of cooperation.

The "Academic Technology Education Across Borders (ATEd)" project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Programme.
